Mentoring for Yoga Teachers
Because teaching yoga is a practice too.
This is practical, personalised mentoring for yoga teachers navigating the early years of teaching.
Together we’ll bridge the gap between training and real-world teaching, while cultivating confidence, self-trust and finding a way of teaching that feels authentic to you.
This could be for you if…
You’ve completed your YTT and you’re like “where/how TF do I begin?” You’re stoked and overwhelmed in equal measure, but the gap between “certified” and “actually teaching” feels wider than you expected.
Or you’ve been teaching for a year or two and you still don’t fully back yourself; the comparison story is loud and inspiration comes and goes. You’re wondering if you’re ‘cut out for it’.
Or you’re a few years in, teaching regularly, and something’s gone flat. You feel disconnected from the spark that brought you here. You want to reconnect to why you started.
Whatever stage you’re at, you want to embody confidence, not perform it. And you’re craving something that doesn’t really exist in studios or trainings: honest conversation, practical support, and someone to lean on for guidance.
Most YTTs teach yoga. Few teach you how to teach it.
You finish your training inspired, lit up, full of possibility. Then comes the real question: how do I actually do this? Learning how to teach yoga often begins when the training is over.
Out in the real world when you start teaching to your mates in parks, Bob rocks up wearing jeans, Karen arrives with a broken arm, and your friend Jason wants to do handstands. You’ve got a sequence you’ve rewritten six times and ‘first-date nerves’ (but with multiple people at the same time!).
There’s the practical stuff: sequencing, cueing, holding a room, finding work. And then there’s the less tangible stuff: the imposter syndrome, the comparison that creeps in, ‘finding your voice’ [whatever that means] and the self-doubt that whispers ‘who am I to do this?’.
You don’t need more information. You don’t need another training. You don’t need the perfect sequence (it doesn’t exist).
You need support, perspective, a place to practice, and someone in your corner.
Confidence doesn’t arrive before teaching; it arrives by doing it. And the sooner someone gives you permission to start before you feel ready, to ‘make mistakes’ and experiment with your style, the sooner those people who need your medicine stop waiting.
How we’ll work together
This isn’t a one-size-fits-all program. There’s no rigid curriculum, no “5 steps to 6 figures”, no prescribing how you should teach.
This is an intimate 3-month container, tailored to you.
Whether you’re figuring out where to begin, or you’ve been teaching for a while and something’s feeling stagnant, gone flat, or needs a bit-of-a-“zhoosh”.
Think of it as a bolster of support: part practical guidance, part real talk, to help you build confidence and teach in a way that actually feels sustainable and true to you.
Practical support: Sequencing, cueing, class planning, holding space, teaching privates / corporates, and how to actually find work as a yoga teacher. The real-world stuff.
Self-enquiry, done together: Moving through the overwhelm, perfectionism, comparison and self-doubt that sometimes rears its head. The sticky stuff that tends to hold us back.
Finding your voice: Helping you stop teaching the way you think you must, and start teaching in a way that feels true to you. Authentic doesn’t mean original. It means true to self.
Reps and feedback: You bring your sequences, your questions, your sticky moments. We workshop it together. Compassionate, specific, honest feedback: the kind that actually helps. Because teaching yoga is learned by doing it.
Honest conversation: A space for real talk, perspective, encouragement and guidance from someone who’s walked the path. Not someone who has all the answers. Someone a few steps ahead, walking alongside you.
The Offering:
There are two ways we can work together, depending on what you need. Ongoing support, or a one-off sounding board for something specific.
1. The Mentoring Container
3 months | 1:1 | intimate and tailored

A 30-minute On-Ramp Call
Before we begin, we get clear on where you’re at: what feels challenging, what you want to explore, and what you want to walk away with.
Three x 90-minute Mentoring Calls
We go deep, based on your needs. Sequencing, cueing, confidence, imposter syndrome, comparison, finding work, reconnecting to your why. Whatever’s alive for you.
Post-Call Reflections and Resources
Written summaries and video follow-ups after each call, including suggested challenges, practices or resources to help integrate what we explored.
Voice Note Support Between Calls
A place to celebrate wins (and wobbles), ask questions, and share what’s landing between sessions. I’ll respond within 24 to 48 hours.
A 30-minute Integration Call
A closing call to reflect on how far you’ve come and support your next steps. The goal after three months together is that you feel resourced to keep evolving on your own.

For when you don’t need the full container but you need clarity, perspective, or just somewhere to fully come undone.
Perfect if you’re:
launching something and need a sounding board,
navigating a sticky student or studio dynamic,
spiralling in self-doubt,
wanting feedback on a sequence or class plan,
feeling flat or burnt out, or
you simply have questions and no one to ask.
What’s included?
One 90-minute call tailored to your needs, practical guidance and honest reflection, written post-call notes and video follow-up.
Investment: $220 AUD
2. The Solo Sound Board
One-off | 90 minutes | for something specific
Hi, I’m Laura
I’ve been teaching yoga for nine years, across studios in Sydney, Melbourne and the Northern Rivers.
I remember the early years vividly: the excitement, the honour [and disbelief] of I get to do this!? I also remember the loud imposter syndrome, the self-doubt, the gnarly inner critic, and the constant comparison.
I’ve been blessed to have epic mentors in my life; people who inspire me, expand my world of what’s possible and [lovingly] challenge me. I still question myself and have moments of self-doubt (human-ing), but I’ve been around long enough to know a thing or two that might help if you’re in the early years of teaching.
I created this offering because I reckon we can all benefit from having some support. I know first-hand the isolation at times, the lack of inspiration, the hamster wheel of 20-class weeks, the echo chamber of the yoga industry and the question ‘am I cut out to do this?’.
I believe the world needs more loving kindness, and yoga is a great vehicle for that. It would be my absolute pleasure to prop up anyone who’s genuinely moved to share this medicine.
Frequently Asked Q's
〰️
Frequently Asked Q's 〰️
Do I need to be actively teaching to sign up? Not at all. Maybe you’ve just finished your YTT and haven’t taught your first class yet. Maybe you completed your training a couple of years ago and you’re finally ready to begin. Wherever you’re at, if you feel called to teach and want some support getting there, you’re in the right place.
I’ve been teaching for a few years. Is this still relevant for me? Yes. This container is for teachers in the early years, which I’d loosely describe as the first zero to five years, depending on how frequently you teach. Some of the richest mentoring conversations happen with teachers who are already teaching but craving more depth, more sustainability, or simply someone to think out loud with.
Will there be homework? There can be, if that’s useful for you. Some people find accountability and practice challenges between calls really valuable. Others prefer to let things integrate more organically. We’ll figure out what works for you on the on-ramp call.
I feel like I should already know this stuff. Is that normal? Completely normal. And for what it’s worth, ‘should’ is rarely a helpful word. Most teachers experience this stuff at some point, which is why this offering exists.
Are sessions in person or online? All sessions are held on Zoom, so we can work together wherever you are in the world.
Will I get a recording? Yes. All calls are recorded and you’ll receive a written summary and video follow-up after each session.
What does the investment include and are payment plans available? The 3-month container is $750 AUD and includes your on-ramp call, three x 90-minute mentoring calls, post-call reflections and resources, voice note support between sessions, and a closing integration call. Payment plans are available. Just mention it when you book your chemistry call and we’ll sort something that works.
How do I know if we’re a good fit? Book a free 20-minute chemistry call. It’s a relaxed conversation to see if this feels right for both of us, with zero obligation. If it’s not the right fit, I’ll do my best to point you in a useful direction anyway.
